Start in the right place

Four common entry points — pick the one that matches what you need today.

Made for club ladders and grade draws

Grades, courts and results are one workflow, so a club championship and a running box league can share the same entry list.

Score to your own target

Set the points target and an optional winning margin per division (11 and two by default), then enter each match result. Winners advance and the table updates.

  • 11 points, win by 2
  • Target and margin per division
Grades and divisions

Create grade, rating or age divisions, each with its own entries, seeding and eligibility rules.

  • One event, several grades
  • Rating and age bands
Boxes, cups and draws

Run round-robin boxes, single elimination, double elimination for 4/8/16/32-player fields, pool play into playoffs or Swiss.

  • Round robin or knockout
  • Per-division format choice
Seeding and byes

Seed the draw so the top grades are separated, and place byes where the field does not fill the bracket.

  • Seeds spread across the draw
  • Byes handled without manual edits
Court scheduling

Assign matches to named courts, order the evening, and give players a schedule they can follow on their phone.

  • Court-by-court order of play
  • Players see their next match and court
Live results & display

Enter games at the court, update standings instantly, and project a draw or the standings to a club screen.

  • Live results and standings
  • TV-ready draw display

Formats

Squash formats you can run

Run boxes through the season and a knockout at the end of it. Formats are chosen per division, so grades can differ.

Workflow

From entries to match ball in three steps

The draw, the court order and the results stay in sync, so you are not re-seeding by hand after every match.

  1. 1

    Create the event

Pick squash, set the dates, venue and courts, then open online registration or import an entry list by CSV/Excel.

  2. 2

    Build the draws

Add each grade as a division, choose boxes or a knockout, set the points target and seed the entries.

  3. 3

    Run the night

Check players in with a QR code, publish the court order, enter each result, and let draws and tables update live.

Rules

Squash rules and scoring in Brakto

Brakto uses point-a-rally scoring by default; every value is adjustable per division.

PAR 11, win by two

Squash uses point-a-rally scoring to 11: the rally winner scores, and at 10–10 the game continues until one player leads by two. Brakto does not call lets or strokes — your marker does.

Match length and game scoring

Club matches are often best of five games and some leagues use best of three. Set the match length per division, keep games to 11 with a two-point margin, and record the winner.

One result per match

Each match is a race to the points target you set per division, with an optional required winning margin. Enter the agreed result and the bracket or table updates.

Double elimination field sizes

Double elimination is supported for 4, 8, 16 and 32-player fields; other sizes are rejected with a clear message.

Grades, seeding and byes

Run each grade as its own division, seed the draw so the strongest entries are separated, and place byes where the field does not fill the bracket.

Squash questions, answered

What squash formats can I run?
Brakto supports round robin (boxes), single elimination, double elimination, pool play into playoffs, Swiss and league seasons. Formats are chosen per division, so grades can differ.
Does Brakto score squash games?
Yes, at match level. Games are a race to 11 with a two-point margin by default, and the margin and target are configurable per division. Brakto records the match result; it does not call lets or strokes.
Can I run a box league through the season?
Yes. A round-robin division works as a box: every player plays every other player, standings update from entered results, and you can start a new box each month.
How much does it cost to run a squash event?
Free covers up to 8 players offline (CSV/manual import). Online registration costs a one-time $25 setup, and each player pays a flat $2 service fee added to their entry fee — the organizer keeps 100% of every entry fee. Club is $999/yr (or $99/mo) for unlimited events, with no per-player service fee. Standard payment processing fees apply when players pay you online.
Do players see their court and next match?
Yes. Players can follow their fixtures, court and next match on their phone, and results entered at the court update draws and standings live.
Can I import an entry list and check players in?
Yes. Import players by CSV/Excel when entries were collected offline, then use QR check-in at the club. Printable PDF draws are free for up to 64 players.
