Formats
Use one format across the event or mix them by division — youth and adult draws can share the same tournament day.
Group stage first, then the top teams advance into a seeded knockout bracket.
Best for: One-day tournaments and club championships.
Straight knockout draw for 4–64 teams, with an optional third-place game.
Best for: Large fields with limited field time.
Winners and losers brackets with a grand final and reset, for 4, 8, 16 or 32-team fields.
Best for: Events where one loss should not end the day.
Every team plays every other team, with configurable points and tiebreakers.
Best for: Small divisions and league play days.
Fixed rounds with strength-based pairing and Buchholz / Sonneborn-Berger tiebreakers.
Best for: Large fields that need a fair ranking without a knockout.
Dual-match team competition scored line by line, with a team winner at the end.
Best for: Inter-club leagues and team rivalries.
Workflow
The draw, the field schedule and the scores stay in sync, so you do not rebuild the bracket after every result.
Pick softball, set the dates, venue and fields, then open online registration or import a team list by CSV/Excel.
Add open, co-ed or youth divisions, choose a format and seed the draw.
Check teams in, publish the field schedule, enter scores, and let brackets and standings update live.
Rules
Brakto records runs and manages the draw; game rules and officiating stay with your officials.
Enter the final run score for each game. Innings, mercy rules and officiating stay with your officials.
A knockout game cannot end level. Use extra innings or the event’s tiebreak rule and enter the final winning score.
Standings sort by wins, then run differential and runs scored, so ties resolve consistently.
Double elimination is supported for 4, 8, 16 and 32-team fields; other sizes are rejected with a clear message.
For league seasons, set the points awarded for a win, draw and loss; standings and playoff seeds follow those values.
Set roster size and age limits per division, and manage withdrawals without deleting played results.
