Pool Play into Playoffs
Group stage that carries through to flighted playoff brackets, consolation and championships.
What it does
Most tools stop at a group stage, or make you assemble the playoff bracket by hand. Brakto treats pools and playoffs as one tournament structure: teams advance from pool results into seeded playoff brackets, with consolation brackets for the teams that do not advance and championship divisions layered on top.
What you get
Choose how many teams advance per pool, and whether pools cross over into each other.
Playoff seeding is generated from pool standings — no manual bracket building.
Teams that miss the cut get their own bracket rather than going home after one loss.
Split the playoff field into flights by strength so mismatches are avoided.
Multi-day events, club championships and leagues that need a group stage before knockouts.
Verifiable. Everything on this page ships today. It is implemented in PoolConfig (advancementTeams, crossoverEnabled, playoffFormat, playoffConsolationBracket), auto-seed-flighted-playoffs.ts, flight-assignment.ts. If you find a gap between this page and the product, tell us and we will correct it.
