Flighted Playoff Brackets

Use flighted playoffs when teams should advance into separate brackets based on where they finish in their pool — not into one combined championship bracket.

Setup

1. Open Division Settings → Pool Play → Advancement to Playoffs.
2. Enable Flighted playoffs.
3. Add flights (or use presets: Equal flights or Championship + Consolation).
4. Assign each pool finish position (1st, 2nd, 3rd…) to exactly one flight.
5. Save settings, complete pool play, then use Generate all flights on the playoffs page.

Examples

• 8 pools of 3 → three flights: 1st / 2nd / 3rd place (8 teams each)
• 4 pools of 3 → Championship (pool winners) + Consolation (2nd and 3rd per pool)

Wild card fill and playoff-loser consolation are disabled in flighted mode. Use an extra flight for lower placements instead.
