The Mixer is a social doubles format for individual players, not fixed teams. Partners change every round, so nobody is stuck with the same teammate. Players earn individual wins across the rounds, and the standings rank every player. It is the format for club socials and drop-in sessions where inclusivity matters more than brackets.
How It Works:
1. Add individual players (no teams) and set the number of rounds, courts, and points to win
2. Generate the schedule — partners and opponents rotate every round
3. Enter scores per court; individual standings update automatically
4. Rank by wins, then point differential, then points for, then points against
5. Optional: run a seeded playoff, and a two-group session finishes with an event final
Playoff stage
Turn the session into a finish: the Playoffs panel cuts the top seeds into a seeded doubles bracket. The leading seed pairs up and takes the bye; the next seeds pick their partners from the qualifying pool. Playoff games run to a higher target than the mixer rounds.
• Individual standings decide who qualifies — the same order used for seeding
• The playoff is stored on the division; it does not create separate bracket rows
• Two-group sessions (two Mixer divisions): each group crowns a champion, then the two champions meet in a scored event final
Show it on screen
Every bracket stage has a full-screen display for projecting on a TV — no site chrome, just the results. Each view scales to fit one screen.
• View Pool Play — the round results and standings
• View Playoffs — the seeded playoff bracket
• All — the event overview with both groups and the final (two-group Mixer)
Tip: a two-group mixer can run the two groups on two separate TVs (one per display URL).
Why run a Mixer?
✅ Social: Partner with everyone — no cliques, no fixed teams
✅ Fair: Rotating partners remove team imbalance
✅ Flexible: Byes spread fairly when there are more players than courts
✅ Inclusive: All skill levels can take part
✅ A finish: Optionally add a seeded playoff, and a two-group event final
