Technical Details

Pairing algorithm

·Players within the same score group (e.g., all 2-0) are paired together
·System avoids rematches — already-played matchups are skipped
·If no valid pair in the same group, paired against the nearest group

Byes for odd player counts

·If an odd number of players, one player receives a bye each round
·A bye counts as a win for standings purposes
·The lowest-ranked player who hasn't received a previous bye gets the next bye

Tiebreakers — wins → Buchholz → Sonneborn-Berger

·Standings sort by wins first
·Buchholz (sum of opponents' wins) breaks remaining ties
·Sonneborn-Berger is the final automatic tiebreaker
·Detailed Buchholz and Sonneborn-Berger values appear on the standings view

FAQs
