What is Round Robin?

Round robin is the fairest tournament format where every team plays against every other team exactly once. At the end, teams are ranked by their win-loss record, creating a complete standings table.

Perfect For:

  • • League seasons and divisional play
  • • Group stages before playoffs
  • • Small tournaments (4-8 teams) where everyone wants maximum games
  • • Determining accurate rankings from 1st to last place
How Many Matches?

Formula: n × (n-1) / 2 total matches

  • • 4 teams = 6 matches
  • • 6 teams = 15 matches
  • • 8 teams = 28 matches
  • • 10 teams = 45 matches
