How Round Robin Scheduling Works
Our generator uses the "circle method" algorithm to create balanced schedules:
Even Number of Teams
Each round has n/2 simultaneous matches. All teams play every round.
Odd Number of Teams
One team gets a "bye" each round. We add a phantom team to balance the schedule.
Determining Round Robin Standings
After all matches are complete, teams are ranked by these criteria (in order):
- 1Win-Loss Record - Most wins ranks highest
- 2Head-to-Head - If two teams are tied, who won their direct match?
- 3Point Differential - Total points scored minus points allowed
- 4Points Scored - Higher total points scored as final tiebreaker
