What Brakto does that a feature list cannot show

Each of these ships today and is verifiable in the product.

Pool play into flighted playoffs, consolation and championship divisions

Most tools stop at a group stage. Brakto carries teams from pools into flighted playoff brackets, with consolation brackets for teams that do not advance and championship divisions layered on top — all auto-seeded from pool results.

One-click bracket rebuild without losing results

Rebuild one division from its complete teams after a withdrawal or a roster mistake — single elimination, double elimination or pool play. Incomplete teams missing a partner are left out and counted, and if a match already has a score the rebuild refuses rather than deleting it.

No-show walkovers with a grace period

Preview every team that has not checked in by a configurable grace period (default 10 minutes, up to 240), then apply the walkovers in one action. The opponent advances 1–0 through the normal progression; no match or played result is deleted. Single-elimination divisions.

Withdrawals preserve played match history

Withdrawing a player or team retires them from future draws without deleting the matches they already played. Their remaining opponents can then be awarded walkovers, so the division finishes with an accurate record.

DUPR ratings imported from a CSV, not retyped

Upload the DUPR ID + rating list DUPR gives you. Brakto matches it to registered players, previews every change, and applies it so rating-band eligibility and seeding use the real rating. This is a CSV import — we do not claim a live DUPR API sync, which is partner-gated.

My Matches — the player queue, not a wall of brackets

Players see their next match, the court it is on and how many matches are ahead, across pool and bracket play. Byes and unresolved TBD slots are hidden, so the queue reflects real work rather than placeholders.

Player notifications are opt-in, not opt-out

Player and volunteer notifications are off by default. The organizer turns on a master switch, then chooses which categories send — registration, check-in, match, score, waitlist or volunteer. Admin alerts stay on because they go to the organizer, not to players.

Swiss system with real Buchholz and Sonneborn-Berger tiebreakers

Proper Swiss tiebreaking, not a simplified sort. Standings are ordered by wins, then Buchholz, then Sonneborn-Berger — the same system used in serious chess and esports events.

Per-match referee and staff assignment with email notification

Assign referees, scorekeepers and court monitors down to the individual match, and notify the assignee. Our own internal roadmap incorrectly lists this as unbuilt — it ships.
