Your spreadsheet can include any of these columns. Only Name is required.
| Column | Required? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| name | Yes | Full name, or use firstName + lastName |
| Recommended | Links to user accounts and enables notifications | |
| division | Optional | Target division name (auto-detected if omitted) |
| rating / skillLevel | Optional | Numeric skill level (e.g., 3.5, 4.0) |
| team / teamName | Optional | Groups players into doubles or MLP teams |
| phone | Optional | Player's phone number |
| gender | Optional | M/Male or F/Female — used for mixed divisions |
From your tournament admin, go to Players → Import Players. Click Download Template to get a pre-formatted CSV or Excel file with your division names already filled in.
Three templates available: Singles, Doubles (pairs of 2), and MLP (groups of 4).
Open the template in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app. Add one player per row. For doubles, consecutive rows with the same team value are paired automatically.
Drag and drop your file or click to browse. Brakto accepts .csv and .xlsx files. Column headers are auto-detected — even non-standard names like "Player Name" or "DUPR Rating" work automatically.
Preview your data in a table. Valid rows are green, warnings are yellow, errors are red. Fix any issues, deselect rows you don't want, then click Import.
Don't have the exact column names? No problem. Brakto's Smart Import auto-detects columns likePlayer Name,DUPR Rating,Skill Level, and more. It also detects emails by the @ symbol and ratings by decimal values (3.0–5.0), even if your headers don't match exactly.
